What is Syndication?
Horse syndication involves dividing the equity in a performance horse into shares, which can then be purchased by individuals or groups of individuals that together form an entity that, in sum, owns the horse. Competition and annual expenses for said horse are similarly divided on a per share basis. For example, if you purchase a share in a syndicate that offers 10 shares, then you and nine other individuals or groups of individuals own the performance horse together and share the expenses of maintaining the horse on an annual basis.
